How we imported our work car from the USA
Here is my 1947 All steel Ford truck. What better vehicle for me to use as my work truck! After scouring the internet, I found this stock original truck, and had a good buddy of mine in LA check it out for me. Upon confirming the title, and vin tags on the body and chassis all matched, a deal was done, and we loaded the truck into one of our containers being shipped from Long beach to Auckland.
Because we do this all day every day, the NZ Customs, MPI and NZTA process was a straight forward formality, and from there, the truck was transported home in preparation for its transformation to what you see today. Right hand drive, with modern driveline, electronics and suspension. The transformation took myself and a good buddy a solid year of weekends and after hours to complete.
