Meet Charne

The most inspiring part of my job would have to be putting a smile on the faces of our clients, staff and suppliers. 😊 Providing solutions to clients for challenging shipments - I am a problem solver!

I have over 22 years’ experience, 10 years of that running my own freight forwarding business. Over the years I have a had a variety of different roles including Customs Broker, Accounts, Operations, Customer Services and a role in Management. This experience has provided me with the necessary foundation skills and understanding of the industry as a whole. I am be able to make calculated decisions as to the best option available for our clients.

As a junior I worked my way up through the ranks; from Junior Runner, to the Operations and Customer Services Manager of a large multinational. From there I went on to run my own business at the age of 23. I’m passionate about the industry, driven for success, and a hard worker.

When I’m not arranging shipments, you’ll find me at the netball court, or touch field coaching the juniors, cheering on my 2 children, Carlos & Caitlyn, as well as getting a game in myself!

Sports has always been such a big part of my life, and I’ve learnt a lot from being part of a team, relating to different people, and over coming challenges physically and mentally that I use in business.

I also keep busy as a sponsor and a committee member of the Elementz Sports Club, organising the Touch season for 170 kids on the Pohutukawa Coast in Summer. I love to see kids and parents getting involved in sport, growing confidence and making new friends.

In another life, I’m pretty sure I was A BIRD (ask me about this sometime!)
